Pregnancy is a unique way to experience miracles of God on this earth. Watching and sensing someone develop inside you; knowing that one momentous day you will hold this bundle of joy in your hands is one of the best gifts any woman can ever receive. Most women getting pregnant are excessively curious about detecting earliest pregnancy signs and confirming that they are pregnant.
Symptoms of pregnancy vary, depending upon case-to-case; however, the most noteworthy pregnancy symptom is a missed menstrual cycle. Some women experience signs of pregnancy within a week after they conceive. For some, symptoms may be visible over a couple of weeks. If you miss your period and also experience the other symptoms mentioned below, you surely have a reason to rejoice and celebrate!
However, it's important to bear in mind that some symptoms of pregnancy may be caused by other factors besides conception and pregnancy. Thus, validating your hunches by consulting a gynaecologist or using home pregnancy tests would be a prudent idea.
Common Symptoms of getting pregnant:
1. Implantation Spotting
About a week after conception, the embryo embeds itself into the uterine wall. Some women at this stage may experience spotting or bleeding in addition to cramping.
2. Tender Breasts
Change in the shape and size of your breasts is one of the earliest pregnancy symptoms. Swollen or tender breasts are signs of pregnancy which may become visible within two weeks after conception.
3. Tiredness
Feeling fatigued and low is amongst common pregnancy symptoms. Such feelings can emanate in the first week after conception.
4. Nausea
Nausea in pregnancy is again very common amongst early conception symptoms. Some fortunate women do not have to cope with pregnancy morning sickness, while others face this problem right from the onset of their pregnancy phase.
5. Recurrent Urge to Urinate
Scores of expectant mothers need to deal with the problem of excessive and frequent urination which initiates as early as six to eight weeks after conceiving. This could however, be due to other factors such as a urinary tract infection, diabetes, or excessive use of diuretics.
6. Darkening of Women’s Areolas
If the skin around your nipples becomes darker, it might be a sign of pregnancy. However, this could also be a signal of hormonal imbalance that is not related to pregnancy.
7. Food Cravings as well as Aversions
It is not uncommon for mothers-to-be to develop a strong craving or proclivity for certain types of food items such as pickles or ice-creams during their pregnancy. On the other hand, some pregnant ladies may develop strong aversions for certain types of food. Once-a-favourite-dish may evoke repulsion due to hormonal changes in a pregnant woman’s body.
